God please help me to experience Your presence today as I praise You in every circumstance.

 

Psalms 22:3

Yet you are holy,

enthroned on the praises of Israel.

 

Lord help me to recognize and fight in Your power the spiritual battle that rages around me today.

 

Ephesians 6:11-12

Put on all of God’s armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil. For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places.

God please help me to ask the questions I need to ask about my motives and behaviors to learn how to live today in a way that pleases You.

 

Ephesians 5:10

And try to learn [in your experience] what is pleasing to the Lord [let your lives be constant proofs of what is most acceptable to Him].

 

God please help me to never doubt Your mighty power to accomplish Your incredible work in and through me.

 

Ephesians 3:20

Never doubt God’s mighty power to work in you and accomplish all this. He will achieve infinitely more than your greatest request, your most unbelievable dream, and exceed your wildest imagination! He will outdo them all, for his miraculous power constantly energizes you.

Lord help me to do things for You today that are way over my head because You have equipped me way beyond my natural abilities.

 

Ephesians 3:8

When it came to presenting the Message to people who had no background in God's way, I was the least qualified of any of the available Christians. God saw to it that I was equipped, but you can be sure that it had nothing to do with my natural abilities.

And so here I am, preaching and writing about things that are way over my head, the inexhaustible riches and generosity of Christ.

God please reveal to me some of the infinite depths of Your love for me through Your forgiveness.

 

Ephesians 2:3-5

Among these we as well as you once lived and conducted ourselves in the passions of our flesh [our behavior governed by our corrupt and sensual nature], obeying the impulses of the flesh and the thoughts of the mind [our cravings dictated by our senses and our dark imaginings]. We were then by nature children of [God’s] wrath and heirs of [His] indignation, like the rest of mankind. But God—so rich is He in His mercy! Because of and in order to satisfy the great and wonderful and intense love with which He loved us,

Even when we were dead (slain) by [our own] shortcomings and trespasses, He made us alive together in fellowship and in union with Christ; [He gave us the very life of Christ Himself, the same new life with which He quickened Him, for] it is by grace (His favor and mercy which you did not deserve) that you are saved (delivered from judgment and made partakers of Christ’s salvation).

Lord God, give me the patience I need to wait on You, filled with fearful awe and confident that You will work in the best time and way remembering You have the power to punish me for my sins but choose to express Your power through forgiveness instead.

 

Psalms 130:3-5

If You, Lord, should keep account of and treat [us according to our] sins, O Lord, who could stand?

But there is forgiveness with You [just what man needs], that You may be reverently feared and worshiped.

I wait for the Lord, I expectantly wait, and in His word do I hope.

Lord help me to avoid anger and worry when I encounter opposition today. Help me instead to rest in the confidence that You will set things right.

 

Psalms 37:7-9

Be still. Be patient. Expect the Eternal to arrive and set things right.

Don’t get upset when you see the worldly ones rising up the ladder.

Don’t be bothered by those who are anchored in wicked ways.

So turn from anger. Don’t rage,

and don’t worry—these ways frame the doorway to evil.

Besides, those who act from evil motives will be cut off from the land;

but those who wait, hoping in the Eternal, will enjoy its riches.

Lord please help me to know how and empower me to live today in humility and in reverent and worshipful awe of You

 

Proverbs 22:4

The reward of humility and the reverent and worshipful fear of the Lord is riches and honor and life.

Lord God, please allow me to experience Your deep and abiding presence in my life as Your spirit empowers me too keep Your commands today

 

1 John 3:24

As we keep his commands, we live deeply and surely in him, and he lives in us. And this is how we experience his deep and abiding presence in us: by the Spirit he gave us.

Lord help me to love people today without even a hint that doing so is anything but a joyful privilege to me.

 

1 John 5:2-3

We know we love God’s children if we love God and obey his commandments. Loving God means keeping his commandments, and his commandments are not burdensome.

Lord help me to recognize Your love that has taking all the punishment I deserve so clearly that I am able to love others a little more like you love me.

 

1 John 4:18-19

Such love has no fear, because perfect love expels all fear. If we are afraid, it is for fear of punishment, and this shows that we have not fully experienced his perfect love. We love each other because he loved us first.

Lord help me to recognize today how freely I have received and then give just as freely

 

Matthew 10:8

Heal the sick, raise the dead, cure those with leprosy, and cast out demons. Give as freely as you have received!

Lord help me to know when and how to correct the wise so they will become even wiser and help me to know who I should not correct.

 

Proverbs 9:7-9

Whoever tries to discipline a scoffer should expect a hail of insults in return. Whoever tries to correct an evildoer is likely to get hurt in the process.

So do not correct a scoffer unless you are ready to be hated, but correct the wise and you will be loved.

Give instruction to the wise, and they will become wiser. Teach upstanding people, and they will learn even more.

Lord please give me the sense I need to keep my mouth shut  when it is helpful to do so today.

 

Proverbs 10:19

Too much talk leads to sin.

Be sensible and keep your mouth shut.

God please pour out on me the gladness with which you anointed Jesus so I can reflect his character and Yours to those around me today

 

Hebrews 1:9

“You have loved righteousness and hated lawlessness;

Therefore God, Your God, has anointed You

With the oil of gladness above Your companions.”

 

Lord please give me enough wisdom that I can share it with those I lead clearly enough that they can live happier lives.

 

1 Kings 10:8

Happy are your men! Happy are these your servants who stand continually before you, hearing your wisdom!

Father of glory please help me to grow today in my experiential knowledge of You.

 

Ephesians 1:17 (TPT)

I pray that the Father of glory, the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, would impart to you the riches of the Spirit of wisdom and the Spirit of revelation to know him through your deepening intimacy with him.

Father please help me to live as Your child today in such a way that people are amazed at Your grace.

 

Ephesians 1:5-6

He predestined us to adoption as sons through Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the kind intention of His will, to the praise of the glory of His grace, which He freely bestowed on us in the Beloved.

Lord please help me experience the immeasurable greatness of Your power so that today my life would be an advertisement of this immense power as it works through me.

 

Ephesians 1:19-20

I pray that you will continually experience the immeasurable greatness of God’s power made available to you through faith. Then your lives will be an advertisement of this immense power as it works through you! This is the mighty power that was released when God raised Christ from the dead and exalted him to the place of highest honor and supreme authority in the heavenly realm!

God help me to set an example that inspires others to live in union with Jesus today.

 

1 Corinthians 4:16-17

So I encourage you, my children, to follow the example that I live before you. That’s why I’ve sent my dear son Timothy, whom I love. He is faithful to the Lord Yahweh and will remind you of how I conduct myself as one who lives in union with Jesus, the Anointed One, and of the teachings that I bring to every church everywhere.

Jesus please save me from inflating myself with self-importance over others because I take credit for Your gifts to me.  Help me instead to respond even to those who attack me with the grace You’ve shown to me.

 

1 Corinthians 4:6b.-7,12-13

It is futile to move beyond what is written in the Scriptures and be inflated with self-importance by following and promoting one leader in competition with another. For what makes a distinction between you and someone else? And what do you have that grace has not given you? And if you received it as a gift, why do you boast as though there is something special about you?

We work hard, toiling with our own hands. When people abuse and insult us, we respond with a blessing, and when severely persecuted, we endure it with patience. When we are slandered incessantly, we always answer gently, ready to reconcile. Even now, in the world’s opinion, we are nothing but filth and the lowest scum.

Lord please give me success as I seek you but save me from developing pride in the success You give

 

2 Chronicles 26:5,15-16

Uzziah sought God during the days of Zechariah, who taught him to fear God. And as long as the king sought guidance from the Lord, God gave him success.

His fame spread far and wide, for the Lord gave him marvelous help, and he became very powerful.

But when he had become powerful, he also became proud, which led to his downfall.
